Moab~ Our new toy!

Last weekend we took our new toy down to Moab. We went with a whole group of people. All together we had 7 UTV's and over 20 people! We went on so many fun trails. We went through rivers and dust, Up and down the red rock, and some of us (my Dad) even tried to roll our machines. Thank goodness for the cooler racks on the back of his or he would have flipped right over. I love this top picture, because whenever we went up or down a steep hill, the girls would grab hands and hold on to each other. They never acted scared, in fact most of the time they would put both hands in the air like they were on a roller coaster. We had so much fun. We can't wait to make the trip back down in a couple of weeks. It is such a fun way to have family time. These machines are incredible, the rocks they can climb, and the terrain they can handle is amazing. Thank goodness we are not having any "Buyers Remorse!"

I love this sweet pic of my girls taking care of each other!

The lizard we caught, Kenz was not sure about it!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year we went to the Bountiful city Easter celebration, that was...well pretty dumb. The Easter egg hunt had like 10 eggs out for 300 kids. Kenzie didn't find any and got trampled, not sure if it was by a older kid, or a parent trying to get there kid an egg so they didn't have to deal with a tantrum like I dealt with. Luckily I found some candy and threw it in her bag and she was happy. Someone give the kid some candy!
She found an egg!

On Easter we went up to Logan to Kasey's parents house for the traditional Easter egg hunt. My girls liked this one much better because they are guaranteed ten eggs all with candy and money inside. It was so fun to get to go to church with his parents and all of the cousins. We don't get to spend as much time with them as we would like. Also this year they added the confetti eggs. That was a blast for them and I am sure my mother-in-law had just as much fun cleaning it all up!

My sister in law is from Mexico and found the confetti eggs they make there Kenzie wasn't quite sure what was going on!

But Lexie sure liked it!

Terrible Two's here we come!

Marshmellows were her favorite present!
My second attempt at a home made cake

Enjoying her cake

Still tryin to get the whole "blow" concept!

she obviously likes this present!

Sweet!

Kenzie turned two! On March 30th (I know I have been slacking in the blogging department!) She had such a fun birthday. She is the funniest, goofiest kid ever. I asked her to pick out which kind of cake she would like me to make, Since I handmade one for Lexie I felt like I should do the same for Kenzie. Although, this time I got a little smarter and went to Robert where they sell cake molds and limited her choices to the ones they had available. Cinderella, butterfly's, strawberry shortcake...Nope, she wanted the Easter bunny. I told you she was a funny kid. We all went out to Jungle Jims, which I must say is a pretty white trash joint. However, the kids have an absolute blast. It was perfect for a two years olds party. After way way to many presents we went to Olive Garden her favorite restaurant and she ate all the bread sticks she wanted! Kenzie has been the nicest baby, and has been the funnest toddler, she has more personality than she knows what to do with. She has now started the temper tantrums and folding her arms when she doesn't get her way, but she makes the funniest faces while doing those naughty things I find myself laughing more than being angry. Happy Birthday sweet Kenzie!

I'm a big 3 year old!!

Lexie turned 3! Boy does she think she is big now! I swear she grew up overnight. She has this huge obsession with Hello Kitty, so naturally that was also the theme for her birthday party. It is always a tradition at our house to decorate a birthday breakfast chair for the birthday girl. So when she woke up she came down to her Hello Kitty "chair". Along with the Hello Kitty theme we needed a Hello Kitty cake. I really don't like bakery cakes, I don't think they taste great, and I really don't like the frosting. So I told Lex i would make her a Hello Kitty cake. I thought that finding one of those cake molds for Hello Kitty would be a breeze, I have seen them for Dora, and all the princesses so no problem right? Wrong. I looked all over the Internet and every store in the Wasatch front. No Hello Kitty! So, i did what every mother would do and came up with a second plan to make a Hello Kitty cake. I made one up for her. It didn't turn out great, but hey after staying up till midnight coming up with a solution it worked for me. I showed her the cake the morning of her Birthday and It was worth every second of the 4 hour ordeal to see her face light up to the sight of her Hello Kitty cake. Then for her birthday all she wanted was for her mimi to take her to Preschool, so mimi came with balloons and cookies for her to take to preschool. For her party I tried to talk her into a million different places to go, but her little heart was stuck on Kangaroo Zoo. WOW, I think the adults had as much fun as the kids. After we went to Texas Roadhouse, her favorite restaurant so she could "saddle up" for her birthday! All the presents of course had to follow the Hello Kitty theme! She had a great time, and it was worth it all to see her so happy! The things we do for our kids! Thanks to everyone that came and made the special trip down for her!

The Aquarium

My kids and I have totally been getting cabin fever, so I jumped online to see if there was something fun to do on a random day. I found the Living Planet Aquarium. If you haven't taken your kids there you need to. It was a really fun day. It was pretty inexpensive and took 1-2 hours to go through. My girls had a good time. Then we found the shark tank. Lexie was not having fun anymore. I had to keep expalining to her that they couldn't get her because of the glass, but she didn't believe me. Everytime one came swimming by the glass she let out the "Lexie shriek" which those of you who know her know exactly what I am talking about. We had a great time and will go back again, when we need a day out!

Girls Best Friend

Back in September we got a dog, Mokie. He has been a really good dog. Easy to potty train, great with the girls, and just an overall mellow dog which is quite remarkable considering the poor thing gets picked up by his head, sat on, pulled by his tail and ears, dressed like a doll, and he has never even nipped at the girls. Well lately I think he is even cuter. Every night when we put Lexie to bed he goes and jumps up on to her bed and curls up right into her chest and sleeps there with her all night long. It is seriously like he is watching over her and protecting her. Mokie has definitely chosen Lex as his "person". It is so precious. Lexie loves her dog and he definitely loves her too!
