My Fav Fireman!

My darling brother Chad is a fireman and EMT at Farmington City. His station had a big open house and all the kids got to come over and see the life flight helicopter, amulances, and fire trucks. It was so cool. They had a room simulated with smoke and taught the kids how to get down and crawl. It was so fun to have my brother teaching my kids all of this stuff! My kids had so much fun seeing what uncle Chaddy does at work! Thanks bud! It was a fun night!!

One last trip!

We decided to take one last trip down to Moab before winter. Well actually, the one last trip turned into two last trips. Last weekend and the weekend before. We have so much fun down there as a family. It still is amazing to me that we have not had any rollevers! For those of you familiar with Moab, this last time we were able to to "Moab Rim", "Hells Revenge", and "Poison Spider". My kids are the BEST down there. They are so happy to just be outdoors! Thanks for all the fun!!

First day of Preschool!

It makes me so sad to see my little girls off to school! I have seriously spent weeks talking Kenzie into wanting to go and telling her how much fun she is going to have! When we take her to Nursery she usually cries for a couple of minutes until she will settle down and play. I thought that preschool would probably be about the same routine, and I would just have to leave the teacher with my screaming child. Wait outside the door to see if she calms downa and leave feeling guilty. Well, my pep talks must have been really good. She got there and hardly looked back when I said goodbye. I would think the kid could at least pretend to care that I was leaving. I thought this is what I wanted, but instead of leaving feeling guilty I left feeling like crap. My kids could care less if I was there or not!! What the heck!! The teacher said they did really good, but said Kenzie's attention span was a little short. Can't say I didn't warn her!! For anyone that knows Kenzie, I am sure you are laughing right now. It sure is a change to have a couple of hours to myself during the day. I certainly don't mind that!

What a summer!!!!

So... We all know by now that I absolutely suck at keeping up our blog! So I have included about three months of events into this one post. Hold on its a long one!

Anyone that knows me, knows my love for Bear Lake. It is a place where my whole family goes just about every weekend. It has been this way ever since I can remember. It is so fun to watch my kids love it the same way that I do. They have so many friends up there and they can run loose, away from busy roads, and all of the things moms have to worry about on a day to day basis. They run free for hours! Boy do they love it!

Some of the fun we have at the Lake.

Kenzie and her fashionable floppy hat!

Every mother knows that when its hot there is only one thing that makes it bearable for the kids. WATER! I swear we have hit up every swimming pool in Davis county this summer. On occasion we even choose to go to the fountains at Gateway. Free entertainment, also means VERY crowded!

My kids Love this park up in Layton. We call it the Duck Park. It doesn't matter how many loafs of bread we take. We ALWAYS need more! I was just thinking... I think we need to call it Seagull park, notice the lack of ducks.

Throwing bread to the seagulls

Funny pic of our cute dog Mokie. He is such a good sport. Always up for whatever the girls want him to do.

Cheer Camp. WOW, was this a busy week. I was away from my family for 5 days. My sweet husband made it all work for me so I could go and do what I needed to do for the cheerleaders. Becky and I are figuring out that coaching is an even bigger commitment than Cheering. We had a great time though and had some awesome choreographers and teachers. Gev from so you think you can dance came and boy was it fun watching him teach the girls!!

Our Second trip to Moab! We just can't stay away. We Love it down there. If you can tell from the pics we are getting a little crazier every time we go. These machines are absolutely incredible. I never ever imagined they could go up and down the things we push them to do. Don't worry we take our girls out for the real dangerous stuff.

Nicole driving down the "Elevator" on Hells Revenge trail. I was peeing my pants.

Kasey on the middle dip of the Elevator

Our little family on the red cliffs of Moab

Our whole group of friends we went down with. What a blast. I can't believe with all of these people and all of the kids we had (16 kids) not one person got hurt! We can't wait to go again. Thanks for the fun times guys!

Ready to go, it is so nice to just buckle them in the car seats in the back seat. This way we know they are safe and don't have to worry too much. They LOVE the rides and are so nice!

Lexie and her BFF Ali. Don't they look cute in their shades?

Lexie Graduated from her first year of preschool! YEAH! She love her teacher and had so much fun. She was only two when she started. So she went a year early. She did so well and was on the same level as most of the three and four year olds! We are so proud of you Lex!
Lex with mom and dad!

Performing all of her graduation songs

Lexie's May dance recital. This was the end of year recital at the end of May. Dance Impressions does such a great job. Lexie LOVES dance and may even be on the four year old competition team next year. I know she would love it, Mommy just isn't sure if I am ready for it!

Lexie and her cousin Tayler both in their fluffy pinkness!

I can't believe how fast they grow. I swear she thinks she is 10!

I can't believe that it is already mid July, I think about the summer ending and I seriously could cry. I don't know how I am going to make it through a cold and snow Utah winter. ggrrrr. I hate the thought. I guess I will just keep enjoying the sun while it lasts!
Happy summer!

Moab~ Our new toy!

Last weekend we took our new toy down to Moab. We went with a whole group of people. All together we had 7 UTV's and over 20 people! We went on so many fun trails. We went through rivers and dust, Up and down the red rock, and some of us (my Dad) even tried to roll our machines. Thank goodness for the cooler racks on the back of his or he would have flipped right over. I love this top picture, because whenever we went up or down a steep hill, the girls would grab hands and hold on to each other. They never acted scared, in fact most of the time they would put both hands in the air like they were on a roller coaster. We had so much fun. We can't wait to make the trip back down in a couple of weeks. It is such a fun way to have family time. These machines are incredible, the rocks they can climb, and the terrain they can handle is amazing. Thank goodness we are not having any "Buyers Remorse!"

I love this sweet pic of my girls taking care of each other!

My crazy Dad trying to flip over, My mom was not saying nice words to him from the back seat!

The lizard we caught, Kenz was not sure about it!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year we went to the Bountiful city Easter celebration, that was...well pretty dumb. The Easter egg hunt had like 10 eggs out for 300 kids. Kenzie didn't find any and got trampled, not sure if it was by a older kid, or a parent trying to get there kid an egg so they didn't have to deal with a tantrum like I dealt with. Luckily I found some candy and threw it in her bag and she was happy. Someone give the kid some candy!
She found an egg!

On Easter we went up to Logan to Kasey's parents house for the traditional Easter egg hunt. My girls liked this one much better because they are guaranteed ten eggs all with candy and money inside. It was so fun to get to go to church with his parents and all of the cousins. We don't get to spend as much time with them as we would like. Also this year they added the confetti eggs. That was a blast for them and I am sure my mother-in-law had just as much fun cleaning it all up!
Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Knowles

My sister in law is from Mexico and found the confetti eggs they make there Kenzie wasn't quite sure what was going on!

But Lexie sure liked it!

Terrible Two's here we come!

Marshmellows were her favorite present!
My second attempt at a home made cake

Enjoying her cake

Still tryin to get the whole "blow" concept!

she obviously likes this present!

Sweet!

Kenzie turned two! On March 30th (I know I have been slacking in the blogging department!) She had such a fun birthday. She is the funniest, goofiest kid ever. I asked her to pick out which kind of cake she would like me to make, Since I handmade one for Lexie I felt like I should do the same for Kenzie. Although, this time I got a little smarter and went to Robert where they sell cake molds and limited her choices to the ones they had available. Cinderella, butterfly's, strawberry shortcake...Nope, she wanted the Easter bunny. I told you she was a funny kid. We all went out to Jungle Jims, which I must say is a pretty white trash joint. However, the kids have an absolute blast. It was perfect for a two years olds party. After way way to many presents we went to Olive Garden her favorite restaurant and she ate all the bread sticks she wanted! Kenzie has been the nicest baby, and has been the funnest toddler, she has more personality than she knows what to do with. She has now started the temper tantrums and folding her arms when she doesn't get her way, but she makes the funniest faces while doing those naughty things I find myself laughing more than being angry. Happy Birthday sweet Kenzie!
